Situated between Peachtree Road and Piedmont Road, Garden Hills is one of Buckhead’s most centrally located enclaves. The neighborhood was first developed in 1925 by Phillips Campbell McDuffie. It became recognized with Historic District Status not long after by the City of Atlanta in 1987. The community itself continues to grow. Today, it is one of Atlanta’s most well-known and prestigious residential areas.
Homes in this area of Buckhead range from mid to upper price brackets, as well as luxury market numbers. Builders and developers are moving new construction homes above the million dollar mark, while renovated traditional single family homes that vary in architectural style are selling at similar rates.
The area is home to many active community members who frequent the area’s country clubs. There are also three major parks and green spaces, as well as the Garden Hills pool and playground. Public transportation is also widely available in this neighborhood, especially on Peachtree and Piedmont. However, having your own personal car or transportation is the easiest way to navigate to and from work, or back and forth from the city.
